FAQ.
General
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes — we welcome new patients across all life stages. The first visit is a 45-minute appointment so we can take a thorough history and not feel rushed.
Do you treat exotic pets?
We treat rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and most reptiles. For complex avian or zoological cases, Dr. Shah will refer you to a partner specialist and continue to coordinate care with them.
Appointments
How do I book an appointment?
Use the Book Appointment button on this site — it walks you through service, vet, time, and your pet's details in about a minute. You can also call us at (503) 555-0142.
What if I need to reschedule?
Call or email us at least 24 hours ahead and we'll move things around with no fee. For shorter notice, we appreciate the heads-up so we can offer your slot to someone on the waitlist.
First visit
What should I bring to my pet's first visit?
Any vaccination or medical records from your previous vet, a list of current medications and food, and (if your pet tolerates it) a recent fresh stool sample. A favorite toy or blanket helps anxious pets settle.
Emergencies
Do you handle emergencies?
We offer same-day urgent-care slots during clinic hours. For after-hours emergencies, call us first — we'll triage and route you to our partner emergency hospital if needed.
Payment
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and CareCredit. We also offer in-house payment plans for procedures over $1,000.
Do you take pet insurance?
We don't bill insurance directly, but we'll provide an itemized invoice you can submit to any major pet insurance provider. We're happy to walk you through the paperwork.
Policies
Do you offer house calls?
Not at this time, but we do offer extended hours on Thursdays and a quiet 'fearful pet' room for animals who find the lobby overwhelming.
